Welcome

This site is an ongoing genealogy project starting with the family of Jack Sullivan & Edna Kealy of Wangaratta, Victoria, and tracing back into the Sullivan & Dowling families of Preston, the Kealy family of the Apsley area of western Victoria and the Male family of Birmingham England. Exploring and detailing their origins in Ireland & England, journeys to Australia, and the establishment of their long and branching family lines.

Dedication: 

The inspiration for the whole project arose after our sister, Veronica O’Sullivan, was diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time; and this time, a terminal diagnosis. She expressed her concerns  that the family memorabilia, photos, documents, etc, that she had collected and saved would be lost. Someone was needed to keep it all and passed it on, so that the history not be lost! Veronica was also a great believer in keeping in touch with friends and family, and after the death of our mother, she became the main link between our immediate family and our relatives. This project tries to do her credit in both aspects – as a treasury of our history and memories, and also as a lasting link to our cousins, extended families and including our distant relatives, still unknown.
